“I think I’ve come all this way without being confined by the things people say you can’t do because you’re an idol, both in work and in my personal life […] if you’re letting yourself be restricted because you’re an idol, you won’t be able to make things interesting because your priorities are askew. I want to take a stance where I can accept everything, no matter what happens, or how I’m treated.”

十代の時ってよくスポンジみたいな表現され、何でも吸収したりとか、本当スポンジみたいだからなぁみたいな、脳みそがみたいなこと言われたりすんだけど、クロはまったく逆でね、その、もう進化しないっていうか一人でもうやることがなくなっちゃったような少年なので・・・

When I was in my teens, I was often described as a sponge. I was told “you absorb everything” and “your brain tissue really is like a sponge”, things like that. But Kuro is the complete opposite. It’s like he doesn’t advance anymore. He’s a boy who, on his own, has already run out of things to do.
